Apperian Raises $12.4 Million from North Bridge Venture Partners, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers’ iFund and Bessemer Venture Partners

New funds enable the company to meet market demand in North America and Europe for its Mobile Application Management platform

Boston, March 13, 2012–Apperian, Inc. (www.apperian.com) today announced it has closed a $12.4 million round of venture financing, with investments from North Bridge Venture Partners, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers’ (KPCB) iFund, Bessemer Venture Partners, and Common Angels, all existing investors in the company. The new round of funding brings Apperian’s total financing to $24 million.

Since receiving its first round of financing in March of 2011, Apperian has experienced explosive revenue growth, which is being fueled by the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) movement. Apperian’s GAAP revenue doubled in each quarter during 2011, and the company expects that trend to continue in 2012.

Apperian also expanded its headquarters in Boston’s Innovation District, and recently opened offices in France and the UK to help meet European demand for its Enterprise App Service Environment (EASE®) platform.

“We are thrilled to extend our partnership with our founding VC’s, whose continued support is validation of the market opportunity for Apperian,” said David Patrick, CEO of Apperian. “Our mobile app management platform is built for the end user, with its consumer-oriented design and features that are intuitive and elegant. The EASE platform is self-service, cloud-based, and instantly scalable to tens of thousands of devices; no hardware or training required.”

“Apperian is at the center of the BYOD movement, and has already had great success helping some of the world’s largest global companies deploy and manage mobile applications,” said Michael Skok, Partner, North Bridge. “BYOD is changing the way businesses operate, and Apperian is the company that will help organizations stay ahead of this change.”

“Consumerization of IT represents one of the biggest transitions companies have faced in decades,” said Matt Murphy, Partner and Manager of KPCB’s iFund. “Apperian is the innovation leader in enterprise mobility, and has discovered what is inherently important to businesses — great user experience and highly scalable management tools. Apperian is making enterprise mobility a way of life.”

“Apperian has executed very well on its plan and continues to exceed goals at all levels of the organization, “ said Bob Goodman, Partner at Bessemer Venture Partners. “Our investment in Apperian comes at a time when they are scaling to meet demand for the EASE platform. Apperian was first to market with a mobile application management platform and continues to be the market leader.”

Cision Introduces New Social Influencer Content Search Feature

Keyword Search Gives PR and Marketing Professionals A New Way to Find and Engage Digital Influencers

CHICAGO, March 8, 2012 – Cision, the leading provider of PR software, services and tools for the marketing and PR industry, today announced the launch of the Social Influencer Search, a new way for Cision users to search by keyword and find digital influencers publishing content on a particular topic.

Through this feature, unique to Cision, users can search for influencers who are tweeting, sharing or blogging about a specific keyword. Then, they can filter results by beat, outlet focus, location, country, market and more. Results offer detailed contact information for the influencer, including social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn), what outlets they write for, and what topics they cover.

In addition to offering keyword search results pulled from Cision’s Influencer Database, users can count on Cision’s Influencer Rating to help them gauge the influence of a contact and zero in on those who are most prominent. Cision’s Influencer Rating measures 40 points of influence, such as Facebook likes, retweets and more, providing a comprehensive look at the significance of each influencer.

“Because of the vastness and the reach of social media, uncovering the most qualified and prominent people who are influencing conversations online can be a challenging task for PR and marketing professionals,” said Peter Granat, Chief Executive Officer of Cision North America. “Now with Cision’s Social Influencer Search, our users can find influencers by their most recent blog posts and tweets, determine which ones are the most prominent and research the best way to get in touch with them, all with the click of a button.”

This new feature, currently in the beta phase, is included at no additional charge in the Cision Influencer package, which provides users with access to tens of thousands of digital influencers across hundreds of industries and also includes Cision Influencer Ratings.

Apperian Announces Epicenter – The World’s First Social Corporate Directory App

New Mobile App Powered by Apperian Improves Employee Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing

Boston, MA (PRWEB) February 27, 2012

Apperian (http://www.apperian.com) today announced EpicenterTM, the first social corporate directory app designed for the new mobile workforce. Epicenter, which works with the EASE Platform but is available for purchase and works separately, addresses the growing problem of keeping mobile workers connected, by improving employee communication, interaction and knowledge sharing.

Built for the Apple iPad, Epicenter puts a human face on business and makes it easy to find and connect with coworkers. Epicenter represents the mobile world equivalent of the water cooler – all the information you need to know about the people at your company can be found there.

Epicenter transforms the standard corporate directory into a social corporate graph highlighting information such as workers’ bios, experience and expertise. The product features LinkedIn integration and personalized profiles that give people the opportunity to discover each other’s talents. With advanced faceted search features, finding and connecting with a colleague has never been easier.

“As businesses embrace mobility, it becomes more and more challenging to locate and coordinate the key people within a company. Epicenter solves this problem,” said Reinhard Schumak, Director of Product Management.

“Epicenter is a beautiful and intuitive App that leverages the capabilities of the iPad to enable co- workers to visually navigate the organization, not just the org chart. We expect Epicenter to become one of the key mobile apps in business,” said Alan Murray, Senior VP, Products.

Epicenter makes it easy for workers to “find, connect and do”:

FIND

Navigate the organization through formal connections such as report-to and teams, as well as informal connections such as “find similar”
Find anyone with a particular skill, experience or location with an easy-to-use, faceted search
Identify colleagues who are online and near you, even if they are just down the hall
CONNECT

Learn about co-workers through rich, personalized user profiles that include photos, professional expertise, and educational background
Share and view real-time status updates across the organization
DO

Use built-in tools for the iPad, such as email, iMessage and FaceTime, to coordinate, find and communicate with coworkers
Create and disband cross-functional teams and groups on the fly. Keep them only as long as you need them
